Admission Requirements

The B.S. degree in Computer Science is a four-year degree which does not require the completion of any existing associate, professional, or technical degrees prior to admission. Course preparation differs depending on whether one chooses to apply as a first-year or transfer student.

Transfer Admissions Requirements

Transfer Students must complete the following courses with a minimum 2.0 grade.

- Calculus 1 (Math& 151 or equivalent)
- Calculus 2 (Math& 152 or equivalent)
- English Composition (5 credits)
- Fundamentals of Computer Science 1 (CS 210)
- Fundamentals of Computer Science 2 (CS 211)
- 5-6 credits of physical science (Physics 121, Biology, or Chemistry)

Freshmen Admissions Requirements

Freshmen must be qualified to enroll in the following courses.

- Math& 151 (Calculus 1) - Placement by assessment or Math& 142 with a C- or better, or Advanced Placement score of 2 or higher on AB or BC exam
- English& 101 - Placement by assessment or ENGL 092 or 093 with C- or better

A TOEFL score of 61 (iBT) or higher.An academic IELTS overall band score of 6.0 with all sub-scores 5.5 or above. Successful completion of the Bridge program at Bellevue College. An “A-“ grade in Integrated Skills 5 and “B-“ in all other classes in the Intensive English/University Preparation program that quarter. Cambridge IGCSE and O Level First Language English with a grade C or higher. Two years of non-ESL English courses in an American high school or an international school with a recommended GPA of at least 2.50, reviewed on case by case basis.Proof of English language proficiency requirements will be waived if an applicant has attended at least 3 years of secondary education in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, New Zealand, or the United States.Completion of Associate Degree DTA.490 SAT: Critical Reading (SAT CR) score or Writing (SAT W) score21 ACT: Combined English/Writing (ACT E/W) score
